Our Legacy
COMPANY OVERVIEW
Al Dhafra Recycling Industries (ADRI) was established under a government concession (awarded in 2009) to transform construction and demolition (C&D) waste into reusable materials.
In partnership with Tadweer, ADRI operates a state-of-the-art recycling plant that handles concrete, asphalt and excavation debris. All materials are inspected and processed into 100% recycled crushed for use in road base, sub-base and structural fill, aligning with the UAE’s sustainability goals.
The company maintains ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environment) and OHSAS 18001 (Health & Safety) certifications, demonstrating its commitment to quality and safety.
Today ADRI is the leading supplier of recycled aggregates in the UAE, supplying major projects like Abu Dhabi Airport T3, Khalifa Port, ADNOC pipelines and urban roadworks
COMPANY EVOLUTION
Since its founding in 2008 under Abu Dhabi’s waste-management concession, ADRI has charted an impressive growth story. The facility was designed and built through partnerships with international technology providers to handle large volumes of C&D debris. In its first full year (2010) ADRI processed nearly 300,000 tons, and production quickly scaled to over 1.8 million tons in 2015 (a record year of recovered materials). Along the way, ADRI earned ISO 9001, 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certifications for its quality, environmental and safety systems.
By 2017, ADRI’s contributions to green construction were nationally recognized: it won the prestigious MENA Green Building Award for recycled aggregatesaldhafrarecycling.ae. The company continued to innovate, introducing new processing lines and mobile waste-management services by 2020. In 2024 ADRI was honored with a “Best Recycled Product” award for its road-base aggregates. Throughout its journey, ADRI has cumulatively processed over 21 million tons of waste (as of 2024) and supplied recycled materials to major UAE infrastructure projects.
